Browsing the Stacks Online

The Ely Library Quicksearch allows patrons to browse the book titles in our physical stacks. In order to do this, you need to first locate a relevant book in our stacks using Quicksearch.
Click the "Books" icon, enter keywords relating to your topic or enter the title of a book (see "Books" tab for more instructions on searching). Click the blue search icon:

From the left-hand toolbar under the category "Format", check the box for "Print Book" to limit the search to print titles.

Click the title link for any relevant book to see the full record.

From the full record view, scroll down to the bottom of the page to view the "Browse the Shelf" function. This will display books that are shelved beside the initial title in the stacks (the call numbers are sequential). This is an effective way to locate multiple titles relevant to the same topic. Click the blue pointer at the left and right to browse further.  Note that some books may have Ely Library Reference as a location - these books cannot be borrowed.
