Find Books with QuickSearch

When you select "Books" as a format from your results screen, you will see a mix of print books and eBooks. The results will be sorted by "Library" with books available in Ely Library collections listed first. If you wish, you may change the way the results are sorted. However, keep in mind that some of the results that appear may not be owned by Ely Library or available at the moment and will require an Interlibrary Loan request and a processing wait time (more information below).



Books available in print in the Ely Library will be marked "Westfield State University Ely Library." If the Ely Library Stacks are also listed and a call number (GV1469.3.V526 2010) is provided, the book is in our stacks and the call number can be used to locate the book on a floor of the stacks.  Alternately, you may place a hold on the book to have it retrieved and held for you at the Access Services desk.



To have the book retrieved for you, click the title link to access the full record for the book. Then click the "Place Hold" button. You may be prompted to log in to use this feature: (for more info on this see "Placing Holds" tab at left).


 

Books available as eBooks will have a blue button that can be used to view or download the book.  The button will be labelled "View eBook".

Books not available in the Ely Library will be marked "At other libraries worldwide."



If the book is not owned by the Ely Library or is not available in the Stacks, you may request the book through Interlibrary Loan. Click the title link for the item, then click the "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan" button to fill out a form to submit:
