The chat service is monitored during the hours that Reference is available. Check the library hours webpage
to view Reference hours. To open the chat, click the blue box labeled "Ask a Librarian" at the bottom right of the page
. If the librarians are available and monitoring Reference, a pop-up window will appear for you to chat with a librarian. We recommend that you input your email address in this window to facilitate ongoing communication and follow-up emails.
If the librarians are busy, clicking the button will generate an email application to open and send an email to email@example.com and we will answer your email at our earliest convenience.
