When to Replace

The printer will show a warning ahead of time that the toner is running low, but no action is necessary until it alerts that the toner must be replaced. The printer will not release print jobs and will flash a clear message about which toner needs to be replaced.

Toner Supplies

There is a supply of toner cartridges in the printer supply room (100R). If there is an issue with toner after hours when that area is locked, staff should put an out of order sign on the impacted printer and send Amber an email that the printer needs toner. Generic out of order signs are available at the Circulation Desk. 

Amber will coordinate with Xerox on overall toner supplies. If toner supplies are getting low, please alert Amber. 

Replacing Toner

Super easy to follow prompts on the printer screen and then printed instructions on the toner box. Old toner can go into the replacement box and on the shelf in the printer supply room (100R).
