Some items can only be used in the library, including laptops, chargers, reference materials, print periodicals, microfilm, and course reserves.
Renew your items
You can renew library items 3 times, as long as someone has not placed a hold or recall on it.
Login to your account to renew Ely Library items, or stop by the Circulation Desk. We do not allow renewals over the phone.
You can renew interlibrary loan materials if allowed by the lending library. Contact Suzanne Tiranno before the item due date.
Place a hold
You can use the "Place Hold" button in the library catalog to request an item be held for you at the Circulation Desk. You'll have 7 days to pick up your item.
Recall an item
If you need an item for course reserves that is checked out, contact the Circulation Desk to have the item recalled.
If you want an item that is checked out, you can use the "Place Hold" button to have the item recalled. We will email you when it is ready to be picked up.
Overdue & lost items
We do not charge overdue fines for Ely Library items, but we encourage you to renew or return materials in a timely manner.
We charge $.25 per day for overdue interlibrary loan materials.
Lost items
If you've misplaced an item, please let us know as soon as possible.
We will automatically mark an item as lost if it is more than 28 days overdue.
If you have several lost items on your record, you may not be able to borrow additional materials.
