Password Reset Options

Locked out of your account?

Your course of action will depend on whether or not you've enrolled in the password management client.

Go to the reset portal: reset.westfield.ma.edu

If you do not remember your password:

  • Enter your User ID (first letter of your first name, your last name, and last 4 of your ID number)
  • Click "I'm not a robot" & "I agree"
  • Click "Forgot Password" and "No"
  • A code will be sent to the recovery email or cell phone that you selected when enrolling in password management. 
  • Answer your security questions to reset your password

If you remember your password but it is expired

  • Enter your User ID (first letter of your first name, your last name, and last 4 of your ID number)
  • Click "I'm not a robot" & "I agree"
  • Click "Change Password"
  • Enter your current password and then a new password
    • Passwords must be at least 8 characters
    • Must include number, lowercase, and uppercase character
    • Cannot be a previous password

Your password must be reset by Technology Support. You must confirm your identity by providing a Westfield State ID or state-issued ID to staff in Technology Support.

During the Hours that Technology Support is Staffed (M-F 8am-4pm):

  • Visit the desk on the first floor of the library 
  • Call the Technology Support desk to set up a remote video chat

During the hours that Technology Support is not Staffed:

  • Call or email to submit a ticket that will be responded to when staff returns

    • Include the following information in your message
      • Name
      • Campus ID Number (A#)
      • Number to reach you
      • Brief description of the issue
  • Wait 30 minutes and your account will unlock itself
    • You get three attempts before your account will be locked again
