WHO MAY BORROW MATERIALS: Current Westfield State University students with a valid ID may borrow materials.
WHAT MAY BE BORROWED: Items from the Circulating Collection. All students are required to use their ID cards to check out Library materials.
LOAN PERIOD: Books and certain other non-print materials may be borrowed for four weeks.
You may renew each item three times. Renewals can be done by logging into your library account or by calling 413-572-5231.
HOLDS: Students may request a hold placed on any materials. The Library will notify the patron by email when the materials become available.
WHAT MAY NOT BE BORROWED FROM THE LIBRARY: Periodicals, Reference materials, and items on Reserve may be used in the Library only.
INTERLIBRARY LOANS: Interlibrary loan materials borrowed from other libraries are due on the indicated date. Overdue fines of $.25 per day are charged on interlibrary loan materials.
RECALL OF MATERIALS: All borrowed materials are subject to immediate recall. If an item you have borrowed is recalled, you are responsible for bringing it back to the Library immediately.
OVERDUE AND LOST MATERIALS: Any item more than 28 days overdue will be considered lost. Lost materials will be billed at replacement cost plus a $15.00 nonrefundable processing fee. Lost material replacement charges are canceled when the item is returned, but you still owe the $15 processing fee. Additional materials may not be borrowed until outstanding fines and lost materials fees have been paid. Replacement and processing fees paid for lost library items cannot be refunded.
